Pune: PMC Amends Lockdown Order, Now Negative RT-PCR Required Only If You Are Coming From Other States

Pune, 14th May 2021: After PunekarNews.in reported that Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) overstepped the Maharashtra government’s additional restrictions while extending the lockdown till June 1, the civic body has now amended its order.

Earlier in the day, PMC Commissioner Vikram Kumar issued an order which stated “It is mandatory for all citizens who enter the Pune Municipal Corporation area by any means of transport to carry the Covid-19 Negative Certificate which will have to be issued from upto a maximum of 48 hours before the time of his/her entry into PMC area.”

After it was pointed out, PMC’s Additional Commissioner Rubal Agarwal clarified and issued another order rectifying the mistake in the previous order. Now PMC has said that a negative RT-PCR test report for Coronavirus disease (covid19) is required only if a person is coming from other states.
