Pune: PMC Celebrates 75th Anniversary; Amrit Mahotsav Event To be Organised For Employees
Pune, 15th February 2025: The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) is marking its 75th anniversary today with a grand Amrit Mahotsav celebration. The event will see participation from prominent personalities across various fields, including social work, arts, and culture.
Administrator and Commissioner Dr. Rajendra Bhosale, along with Additional Commissioner Prithviraj BP, will welcome attendees. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar have also been invited to the event. Since both leaders are scheduled to attend another program at Police Ground in Shivajinagar, PMC officials are working to ensure their presence at the celebrations as well.
The main highlight of the event will be a tea party at 6 PM, where guests and dignitaries will gather. PMC has also compiled a list of former corporators, particularly those active since 1986, to recognize their contributions.
To commemorate the milestone, PMC has planned a three-day cultural program and sports competition for its employees. Additionally, a fruit, flower, and floral exhibition will be held, centered around the theme of Amrit Mahotsav.
