Pune: Assam Police Summons Samay Raina in ‘India’s Got Latent’ Controversy

Pune, 15 February 2025: Cases have been registered against social media influencers Ranveer Allahbadia and comedian Samay Raina in multiple cities across the country, including Mumbai, for allegedly making obscene statements during the controversial program India’s Got Latent. The Assam Police has issued summons to both individuals in connection with the case.

The Maharashtra Cyber Police registered a case in Mumbai against Allahbadia and Raina, along with 30 other participants of the show, for their controversial remarks. The action was taken following complaints regarding the content aired during the program, which was accused of being offensive and inappropriate.

The Assam Police has also registered a case against Allahbadia and Raina and dispatched a team to Pune for further investigation. According to sources, Raina resides in a housing society in Balewadi, Pune. The Assam Police team visited his residence and served the summons, directing him to appear for questioning.

Amid growing outrage over the program’s content, the Women’s Commission has taken cognizance of the matter and summoned all 30 individuals involved in the show. Authorities are investigating the extent of their participation and the nature of the statements made.
