Pune, 12th July 2022: Municipal Commissioner Vikram Kumar has promised that the work of filling the potholes on the roads in the central areas of the city will start tonight (July 12). Due to the very slow pace of work of Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), only 53 out of 133 potholes have been filled by the administration.

While Pune residents have started criticizing the work of PMC, these complaints have also reached PMC Commissioner Vikram Kumar. He has reviewed the condition of the roads in the city and has made a plan to fill the potholes.

Commissioner Vikram Kumar said, “Orders have been given to the Road Department to fill the potholes. The filling of the potholes will start tonight. After that, the potholes in the suburbs will be filled. We will also ensure that the quality of the work is good.”

With countless potholes on city roads, the Road Department has started work at a very slow pace with seven executive engineers. These officers were given the objective of filling 133 potholes in a day on Tuesday. But only 53 of them have been filled. 80 potholes could not be filled, which is clear from the statistics.
