Pune: PMC Demolishes Encroachments On Pune-Solapur Highway, 43,000 sq. ft Space Cleared
Hadapsar, 8 November 2023: Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) demolished encroachments on the Pune-Solapur highway from Bhairobanala to Shewalwadi and cleared 43 thousand-square feet space. The anti-encroachment department, road department, and construction department of the PMC took this action jointly. Various sheds and signboards that were obstructing the road were removed with the help of JCB.
There was a large amount of encroachment by shopkeepers on both sides of the Pune-Solapur road.
Around two hundred employees and officers of the municipality participated in the operation. This action took place from half past seven in the morning to six in the evening. Four teams were formed for the operation. This action was taken in about four and a half hundred places.
