Pune: Mirekar Gang Of Hadapsar Booked Under MCOCA For Intimidating Citizens
Hadapsar, 8th November 2023: Police Commissioner Retesh Kumaarr has ordered action under the Maharashtra Control of Organized Crime Act (MOCA) against the goons who are spreading terror in Hadapsar area.
Six accused have been arrested in this case and three minors have been detained. The names of the members of the gang are Babu Namdev Mirekar (54), Akash Hanumant Kamble (20), Aman Naveen Sheikh (23), Sartaj Nabilal Sheikh (20), Sunny Raosaheb Kamble (23), and Rohit Shankar Hanuvate (22), all residents of Vaiduvadi, Hadapsar.
According to police, Babu Mirekar created a gang and spread terror in Vaiduvadi area. The gang was involved in serious crimes such as extortion, intimidation, and intimidation.
The proposal to take strategic action against the Mirekar gang was prepared by Ravindra Shelke, Senior Inspector of Hadapsar Police Station.
