Pune: PMC Demolishes Illegal Constructions At Pubs And Restaurants In Baner and Balewadi High Street
Baner, 29th May 2024: Today, several pubs, bars, restaurants, and chowpatties in the Baner and Balewadi High Street area faced encroachment actions from the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC). This action comes in the wake of the recent Porsche incident in Kalyani Nagar, prompting various measures targeting pubs, bars, restaurants, and encroachments.
The establishments affected in Baner and Balewadi High Street include Feast India Co., Awadhi & Asian Restaurant, Darjeeling Cafe, Brew Merchant Cafe & Bar, Global Chaska, Dockway Kitchen and Bar, Punjabi Chaap Corner, Jagadamb Veg Non Veg, Circuit House, Madari Resto Bar, along with Hippie @ Heart, Nawab Asia, and The 3 Musketeers Pub.
The encroachment action was carried out by a team comprising the Superintendent Engineer of PMC, Shridhar Yevalekar, Executive Engineer Jaywant Pawar, Deputy Engineer Prakash Pawar, Junior Engineers Vishwanath Bote, Sandeep Chabukaswar, Ajit Sanas, Ketan Jathav, and others.
