Pune: PMC Demolishes Unauthorised Buildings, Encroachments In Baner, Balewadi
Baner, 17th March 2023: The Pune Municipal Corporation’s Anti-Encroachment Department and Building Construction Department have taken action against unauthorized buildings and encroachments in the Baner, Balewadi area of Pune city. As part of the ongoing campaign, unauthorized buildings, sheds in front of shops, and illegal shops have been removed near Laxmi Mata Mandir.
The PMC officials cleared approximately 14,000 square feet of unauthorized area in Baner, Balewadi. The JCB was used to demolish the unauthorized structures.
The operation was led by Superintending Engineer Yuvraj Deshmukh, Executive Engineer Shrikant Vaydande, Deputy Engineer Jaywant Pawar, Junior Engineer Dandime Gangaprasad, Sandesh Kulowmode and Assistant Navin Mhatre, Prachi Sarvagode, Suraj Shinde, Dhananjay Nevase, and Sanket Gangurde of the Aundh Ward Office.
The team used ten labourers, one JCB, and one gas cutter to complete the operation. Encroachment Control Department staff and officers and staff from the Chatushringi Police Station were deployed during the operation.
