Pune: PMC Extends Date For Filling Property Tax Dues

Pune, December 10, 2020: Yet again Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has extended the dates to file dues of the property tax under the Abhay Scheme. The scheme was implemented from October 2 to November 30 but got extended. Recently, due to the code of conduct of Graduate Constituency Elections, no extension was given. But in the standing committee meeting, it was decided to give a further extension.

According to PMC, those who will pay the tax from December 10 to 31 will get 75% concession while from January 1, 2021, to January 26 the concessions will be upto 70%.

PMC had started the Abhay Scheme for filling the property taxes from October 2. Under the scheme, those who have dues less than Rs 50 lakhs will get 80% concession. Interestingly, nearly 1.12 lakh property owners paid Rs 354 crore of property taxes during Covid-19 period.
