Pune: PMC Implements Traffic Diversions at Rajaram Bridge for Ongoing Sinhagad Road Flyover Work

Pune, 26th November 2023: Temporary traffic diversions are in effect at Rajaram Bridge Chowk, impacting the routes to Dhayari and Sinhagad Road. Vehicles bound for Dhayari via Rajaram Bridge are barred from making a right turn to Sinhagad Road.

Instead, they must take a left turn, proceed a short distance, and execute a U-turn to continue their journey. Likewise, those on Sinhagad Road aiming for a right turn to Rajaram Bridge need to travel a few meters, perform a U-turn, and then take a left towards the bridge.

The diversions are implemented to facilitate the ongoing flyover construction on Sinhagad Road. PMC officials assured that clear signage and barricades guide motorists, while commuters express concerns about increased travel time amid existing traffic snarls. Construction of two flyovers on Sinhagad Road aims to improve traffic flow, with officials emphasizing the need for caution during heavy construction activities.

Residents suggest increased staffing during peak hours to manage traffic effectively.
