Pune: PMC Imposes Fine On Man For Feeding Pigeons In Kalyaninagar
Kalyaninagar, 16th March 2023: In a bid to control the unchecked growth of pigeons in Kalyaninagar, the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has imposed a fine of Rs 500 on a person caught feeding pigeons. The incident took place today at 7.30 am, and the person was caught red-handed by PMC officers.
Despite repeated warnings from the PMC officers, people continue to break the law by feeding pigeons. This has led to a rapid increase in the pigeon population, causing health hazards due to their excreta and feathers.
The PMC has been taking this issue seriously and has instructed health inspectors to take action against the unchecked pigeon population growth. The fine imposed on the person caught feeding pigeons is a step towards controlling the pigeon population.
