Pune: PMC Imposes Rs 87,000 Fine On Private Company For Violating Social Distancing Norms

Pune, 9th April 2021: In a warning to other companies violating social distancing norms, Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) today imposed a penalty of Rs 87,000 on a private company.

PMC’s Shivajinagar-Ghole Road Ward Office staff, under the guidance of Assistant Commissioner Asha Raut, swooped down on the office of Calibehr Business Support Services Pvt. Ltd. in Wakadewadi on the old Pune-Mumbai Highway.

According to PMC, 87 employees were working together and violating the social distancing norms in the backdrop of rising Coronavirus disease (COVID19) cases. Therefore, the company was fined Rs 87,000. The company was warned that if the rules are not followed then the premises will be sealed for a period till the Government of India declares that the COVID pandemic is over.

The action was taken by a team comprising Senior Health Inspector IS Inamdar, Sunil Kamble, Health Inspector Laxmikant Kulkarni and Assistant Rajesh Adagale.
