Pune: PMC Issues Toll-Free Number For Suspicious Deaths Of Animal, Birds

Pune, January 16, 2021: As the number of cases of bird flu is rising in in Maharashtra, the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has issued a Toll-free number for the people. One can inform the authority about the suspicious death of any animal or birds on this number.

Recently, 13 poultry birds and nine crows were found dead in Pune district. Some samples are under investigation to prove the exact cause of death. A similar incident may happen in the city. Therefore, to get the timely information about such incidents PMC has issued a Toll-free number which is 18001030222.

“People can inform us about bird deaths on this number. The samples will be collected by health officials from ward offices and sent to Aundh laboratory for clinical analysis”, said Dr Ashish Bharti, health officer, PMC
