Pune: PMC Launches 24-Hours WhatsApp ChatBot Services For Citizens
Pune, 7th September 2022: Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has launched a service where one can get information related to property tax. To enable this service, one has to send a message on this WhatsApp number 8888251001.
Phase one of this service has been launched and all property-related services have been made available in one message.
PMC is trying to make many services available online. These services are currently available on the website.
Ravindra Binwade, Additional Commissioner, “The municipality has made services available on WhatsApp. In the first phase, receipts and other facilities related to income tax are available.”
He added, “If you enter the registered mobile number of the citizen or the property number with the Property Tax Department, all the information will be available immediately. The bill can also be paid by going to the website. In future, the facility will be made to pay the bills through WhatsApp.”
“Similarly, this facility will be updated continuously and in the next eight days. Information such as water bills, birth and death certificate, pet certificate, and construction department license will be available. Citizens will not have to pay any fee for this,” he said.
