Pune: PMC Launches Development Works Worth Rs 350 Crore In Newly Included 11 Villages
Pune, 12th January 2022: The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) is committed to providing basic amenities in newly included 11 villages and has prepared a master plan for the sewerage system.
Mayor Muralidhar Mohol informed that the projects worth Rs 350 crores started today and they will be completed in four years.
The 11 villages covered include Shivne, Uttamnagar, Dhayari, Ambegaon Khurd, Ambegaon Budruk, Undri, Uruli Devachi, Fursungi, Mundhwa, Hadapsar, Lohegaon etc. The master plan of the sewerage system is vital for all these villages.
Giving more information about this, Mayor Mohol said, ‘It is planned to implement these works for the newly included villages in four years and under this, 182 km long sewers are being developed in these 11 villages. Also, two sewage treatment plants of 12 MLD capacity at Mundhwa and 93.5 MLD capacity at Manjari Budruk are being constructed. The Manjari project will include Devachi Uruli, Undri, Fursungi, Manjari and the Mundhwa project will have Keshavnagar, Sade Satra Nali, Hadapsar.”
“We are doing this in a planned and future-oriented way while developing these villages. A master plan of the drainage system has been prepared”, added d Mayor Mohol.
