Pune: PMC Launches Recruitment Drive For 113 Posts Of Junior Engineers

Pune, 16th January 2024: The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has initiated the recruitment process for the position of Junior Engineer (Civil) with applications being accepted from today, January 16th, to fill 113 vacancies. This recruitment drive comes after the successful recruitment of 748 posts by PMC last year.

The salary for the Junior Engineer (Civil) position is approximately 80 thousand, including basic pay and allowances. Notably, even engineers without prior experience are eligible to apply, presenting a significant opportunity for those seeking employment in this field.

The need for Junior Engineers has arisen due to the expansion of PMC limits, requiring skilled individuals to undertake various city-related projects. Last year, 135 Junior Engineers were recruited; however, the requirement of three years of experience posed administrative challenges during document verification. This time, the removal of the experience condition has streamlined the application process, allowing recent degree and diploma holders to apply.

Out of the 113 available seats, 13 seats are reserved for ex-servicemen, while Deputy Commissioner Sachin Ithape confirmed that the remaining 100 seats are open for all categories.

Recruitment Process and Exam Details:

The recruitment process will involve an online exam conducted by IBPS (Institute of Banking Personnel Selection). The exam will consist of a 200-mark objective multiple-choice question paper. Candidates appearing in the merit list will be directly appointed after document verification.
