Pune: PMC removes unauthorised structures in Karvenagar, Undri
Pune, 18th March 2026: The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) on Wednesday carried out a demolition drive against unauthorised constructions in Karvenagar and Undri areas.
The civic officials said a total of 15,600 sq ft of unauthorised temporary and permanent structures were removed during the operation. Officials said the demolition drive was carried out with the support of 10 PMC police personnel, 15 MSF personnel, three JCB machines, two gas cutters, two breakers and 15 labourers.
The action was undertaken with directives from Pune Municipal Commissioner Naval Kishore Ram, under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner Somnath Bankar and Chief Security Officer Dr Ramesh Shelar. The drive began at around 9 am.
