Pune: PMC Reopens Swimming Pool For Training Sessions

Pune, November 19, 2020: Sports have been affected adversely due to the ongoing Coronavirus(COVID-19) pandemic. Athletes around the city have been demanding the swimming centres to reopen so that they can start their training programs.

Keeping this in mind, Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has allowed reopening of swimming pools for training of state level, national and international players.

Swimming pools in the city will be reopened outside containment zones only. All the activities which have been allowed as per the guidelines issued previously will continue.

The Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) issued earlier by PMC will be applicable till further orders. Any person found violating the orders and guidelines issued from time to time for the prevention of COVID-19 by this office shall be liable to prosecution.
