Pune: PMC Reports 206 Omicron Positive Cases And 120 New Covid-19 Cases Reported Today

Pune, 4th March 2022: In the last 24 hours, a total of 192 were discharged from hospitals after recovery from Coronavirus disease (COVID19) in Pune city today. 120 new patients were detected while 01 person died. Today swab samples of 2792 were collected for COVID tests.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

According to Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), the total number of Coronavirus positive patients to date has reached 6,60,794 out of which 6,50,715 have been cured while 9347 have died. There are still 732 active patients undergoing treatment in various hospitals.

 

 

 

 

 

Omicron surveillance related information: –

 

 

 

Today, 206 patients with Omicron infection have been reported in the state. Of these, 146  patients have been reported by B J Medical College and 60 patients have been reported by

 

National Chemical Laboratory.

• Till date, a total of 5211 patients infected with Omicron variant have been reported in the

 

state.

 

 

 

• Out of these, 4629 cases have been discharged following a negative RT PCR test.

 

 

 

• Until now 9382 samples have been sent for genome sequencing, out of which, results of  8944 patients have been received. 438 results are awaited.
