Pune: PMC Reports 52 New Omicron Positive  Patients, 215 New Covid-19 Cases Reported Today

Pune, 24th February 2022: In the last 24 hours, a total of 446 were discharged from hospitals after recovery from Coronavirus disease (COVID19) in Pune city today. 215 new patients were detected while 02 people died. Today swab samples of 3490 were collected for COVID tests.

 

 

According to Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), the total number of Coronavirus positive patients to date has reached 6,59,868 out of which 6,48,986 have been cured while 9342 have died. There are still 1540 active patients undergoing treatment in various hospitals.

Omicron Maharashtra Update: –

Today, 58 patients with Omicron infection have been reported in the state. All these patients

have been reported by B J Medical College. Details of the cases are as below

Pune MC -52

Pune Rural- 3

Ahmednagar, Satara and PCMC- 1 each

Till date, a total of 4567patients infected with Omicron variant have been reported in the state.

Out of these, 4456 cases have been discharged following a negative RT PCR test.

Until now 8904 samples have been sent for genome sequencing, out of which, results of 8133 patients have been received.771 results are awaited.
