Pune: PMC to Launch Four-Day ‘Deep Clean’ Campaign Across City
Pune, 28th June 2025: The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) will launch a citywide ‘Deep Clean’ campaign from July 1 to July 4, targeting around 60 major roads—one key road from each of its regional offices—for intensive cleaning and repair work.
The initiative will see coordinated efforts from multiple PMC departments, including roads, drainage, encroachment, solid waste management, and the garden department. The teams will work together to clear overgrown vegetation, repair footpaths, clean and fix drainage systems, and carry out comprehensive road maintenance.
Additional Municipal Commissioner Omprakash Diwate said the campaign is a continuation of a similar initiative recently conducted by the civic body, which received a positive public response. He added that post-campaign, the cleaned roads would be regularly monitored and maintained to ensure long-term upkeep.
