Pune: PMC To Organize Special Vaccination Campaign for Bedridden People
Pune, 9th August 2021: The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has successfully implemented free vaccination campaigns at various places during the Covid period. PMC is now conducting a vaccination campaign for people who are bedridden and are likely to remain in the same condition for the next six months and need to be vaccinated.
Mayor Murlidhar Mohol said, “We are trying to vaccinate every Puneite and we are implementing special initiatives to ensure that the bedridden person is not deprived of vaccination.”
The name of the person who is bedridden, address, contact number, the reason for being bedridden, certificate of medical expert treating the person eligible for vaccination, should be sent to on email to bedriddenvaccination.pune@
“The family doctor is expected to be present during the vaccination to monitor the person for thirty minutes after the vaccination. Through this campaign, patients will be given a dose of Covaxin. The PMC is appealing to all the bedridden people to take advantage of this campaign to get vaccinated,” said Mayor Mohol.
