Pune: PMC To Set Up 4 Additional Corona Testing, Isolation Centres In Four Wards

Pune, February 19, 2021: Due to the rising corona cases in the city area, the Pune Municipal corporation (PMC) has decided to set up four additional testing and isolation facilities in four wards.

The number of patients infected by Coronavirus has been increasing since last week. Looking at the situation in the city, the PMC has decided to expand its testing and isolation facilities. Currently, there are 17 active centres in the city.

The additional centres will be set up in Sinhgad Road, Warje-Karvenagar, Bibwewadi and Vadgaonsheri-Nagar Road ward. These centres will be activated within the next three days once the sufficient manpower is available, said Dr Sanjay Wavare, health officer, PMC.

Ward wise raise in covid-19 cases between 11th to 17th February:
Hadapsar-Mundhwa – 233
Sinhgad road – 210
Bibwewadi – 203
Warje – Karvenagar – 197
Nagar road- Vadgaonsheri – 193
