Pune, September 9, 2020: Many people have complained that despite having 155 ambulances in the city, none of them reaches on time. Therefore, the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has decided to make a dashboard for ambulance service just like there is a dashboard for the availability of COVID hospital beds.

As an ambulance was not available to take the body of the relative of MNS corporator Vasant More, he vandalised the car of an official of the municipal corporation on Monday. To avoid the same incident again it was necessary to take a review of the ambulance system. Accordingly, the newly appointed Additional Commissioner Dr Kunal Khemnar took the review of the situation on Tuesday.

“Out of 155 ambulances, 60 ambulances are mobile. Some ambulances are reserved outside hospitals. There shouldn’t be any delay in the availability,” said Dr Kunal Khemnar.

Many incidents have been reported in the last few days in the city, where an ambulance was not available even after the death of Corona patients at home or in a hospital.
