Pune: PMC’s Five Tons Of Steel Worth Nearly Rs Three Lakh Stolen From Water Tank Site

Pune, 29th December 2022: Five tonnes of steel have been stolen from the site of a water tank construction by the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) on BT Kawade Road.

After this incident came to light, a case was registered against the unknown accused at Mundhwa Police Station. A complaint has been filed by the PMC in this regard.

The civic body has started the construction of a water tank under the Equal Water Supply Scheme near Sports Academy on BT Kawade Road. Five tonnes of steel from the construction materials kept at the site were stolen by unknown thieves.

Reportedly, the price of this steel is Rs 2,97,618. Mundhwa Police is conducting further investigation.
