Pune: PMPML Bus Catches Fire After Accident; One Person Dead
Kharadi, February 22, 2021: A Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) bus caught fire at Kharadi bypass killing one person on the spot on Monday. The bus collided with a two-wheeler and the friction caused the bus to catch fire.
According to the witnesses when the bus and the two-wheeler collided; it caused friction. The passengers de-boarded the bus which averted further fatalities.
The two-wheeler rider Ajinkya Yevale came under the wheels of the bus and died on the spot. Fire tender rushed to douse the fire which halted the traffic on the bridge. The bus was running on Compressed Natural Gas (CNG).
