Pune: PMPML Collects Over Rs 3 Lakh Fine From 619 Ticketless Travellers In Seven Days

Pune 9th Oct 2023: The Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) continues its action against those travelling without purchasing tickets during their travel in the city buses. Under a special drive conducted between September 23 and 30, the officials have collected a fine of Rs 3,09,500 from passengers.

According to officials, a total of 619 passengers were found travelling without ticket during this period. Highest amount of fine was recovered on September 25 while September 30 found less ticketless travellers during seven days of special drive. According to the official details shared by PMPML, a fine of Rs 42,500 was collected on September 23, Rs 32,500 on September 24, Rs 54,000 on September 25, Rs 48,000 on September 26, Rs 40,500 on September 27, Rs 28,500 on September 28, Rs 42.000 on September 29 and Rs 21,500 on September 30.

The PMPML collects a fine of Rs 500 from the passenger found travelling without ticket. The flying squads are deployed at different places across the city and they keep moving in buses to catch the ticketless travellers. The officials have urged the passengers to purchase tickets while travelling in the PMPML buses to avoid action.
