Pune: PMPML Driver Assaulted By Auto Rickshaw Driver Over Parking Dispute, Case Registered
Pune 3rd August 2023: The Pimpri Chinhwad Police have booked an auto rickshaw driver for allegedly assaulting a driver of Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) following a dispute over parking the vehicle. The incident took place near Ambethan Chowk in Chakan at around 9:30 pm on Wednesday.
According to police, the PMPML driver had parked his bus after completing the trip on Bhosari-Mahalunge route. He had parked his bus on service road and the aurto rickshaw was parked nearby. The auto rickshaw driver abused and later assaulted the PMPML driver Mohan Malekar (54) over parking dispute.
A case in this regard has been registered at Chakan Police Station against the accused identified as Sachin under sections 353, 324, 504 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). Further investigation in the matter is underway.
