Pune: Govt To Organise Medical Camp At Pune For Citizens To Provide Free Treatment, Over 40 Expert Doctors To Participate

Pune 3rd August 2023: The district administration of Pune will organise a medical camp called ‘Maha Arogya Shibir’ at the Agriculture College ground in the city on 6th August. The camp aims to provide free medical treatment and modern healthcare facilities to the needy patients in the district. It is organised under the guidance of Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Rural Development Minister Girish Mahajan.

A meeting was organised at the
district collector office in Pune to coordinate the arrangements for the medical camp and it was attended by all the concerned departments. According to the officials, 40 expert doctors and various organizations are collaborating to provide free medical care to the patients at this camp.

Specialized treatments and surgeries will be conducted, and essential medicines will also be distributed for those in need. A total of 80 external medical units will be set up, covering various medical specialties, along with diagnostic services such as blood tests, X-rays, mammograms etc, said officials. The organizers have called upon citizens to actively participate and benefit from the camp’s services. Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis will inaugurate the medical camp at 9 am on 6th August.

Prominent doctors, including Dr. Vakankar, Dr. Gautam Bhansali, Dr. Ramakant Deshpande, Dr. K. H. Sancheti, Dr. Vikas Mahatme, Dr. Yashraj Patil, Dr. Lalwani, Dr. Chandanwale, Dr. Tambe, Dr. Jagnnath Dikshit, Dr. Amit Mayadev, and Dr. Ajay Chaurasia, will be present at the camp to offer their expertise.

The medical camp will cater to various ailments, including artificial limbs, spectacles, old wooden crutches, hearing aids, dental treatments etc. Officials have urged the needy patients to take advantage of the medical camp.
