Pune, 11th January 2024: In a bid to enhance the quality, efficiency, and reliability of bus services, Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) is instituting a proactive initiative called ‘Pravasi Day.’ Conceived by the Chairman and Managing Director of PMPML, this program aims to promptly address and resolve difficulties and complaints faced by passengers on various routes and stations within the PMPML’s operational area.

The ‘Pravasi Day’ is scheduled to take place on the second and fourth Friday of every month, providing a regular platform for passengers to voice their suggestions and concerns. The upcoming ‘Traveller’s Day’ activity for January 2024 is slated for Friday, 12th January 2024, running from 03:00 PM to 05:00 PM at each PMPML depot.

Guardian officers, assigned to each depot, will be present during the ‘Pravasi Din’ to directly engage with passengers, addressing their feedback and ensuring a more responsive system. To accommodate the constraints faced by daily commuters with limited time, passengers are encouraged to submit their complaints or suggestions at PMPML main bus stands and pass centers.

PMPML is extending a heartfelt appeal to as many citizens as possible, urging them to actively participate in the ‘Pravasi Din’ activity. The collective involvement of the community is vital in shaping and improving passenger-oriented bus services, making public transportation a more seamless and passenger-friendly experience. The PMPML recognizes the significance of passenger feedback in refining their services and is committed to creating a more responsive and efficient public transportation system, a release from the public transport body states.
