Pune: PMPML Records Highest Single Day Revenue Since Its Launch On Monday
Pune 9th August 2023: The Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) has recorded the highest single day revenue since its launch on Monday. According to the officials, a total of Rs 2.4 Crore revenue was recorded by the PMPML on August 7. This was the highest single day revenue recorded since the PMPML was launched. This according to the officials was achieved despite having no special occasion to impact the number of passengers.
Earlier, the PMPML had recorded Rs 2.4 Crore revenue on November 28 last year which was the highest single day revenue of the history of PMPML. However, the reason behind the highest revenue recorded last year was due to a strike announced by the auto rickshaw unions while this time there was no such reason.
“The number of passengers including females, workers and citizens has been increasing with each passing day. It was possible to achieve this record with the help of hard work done by the depot managers, guardian officers of the depot, drivers and conductors by providing better service to the commuters” said PMPML.
Earlier the PMPML had launched Feeder service to connect the metro stations with other parts of the city with an intention to increase connectivity. In order to improve the service, a guardian officer has been appointed for each bus depot in the city to ensure better facilities to the commuters. The guardian officer is also instructed to travel in the bus on Saturday to gather feedback and experience the service himself to find out scope for improvement wherever needed.
