Pune, September 18, 2020: The rates of the Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Ltd (PMPML) ‘One Route’ pass will be reduced. Now the pass will be charged for 22 days instead of 24 days. Also, the passenger can get a pass for short-distance routes.

The board of directors of the PMPML had decided in March 2020 to reduce the cost of ‘One Route’ passes. According to their decision, the pass will be charged for 22 days instead of 24 days. This pass will save Rs 40 to Rs 100. Bus pass rates are determined by the distance of the route.

According to the reduced price, the pass will cost Rs 440, Rs 660, Rs 880 and Rs 1100. The one route passes were not issued to the people with a ticket of Rs 5, while passengers with Rs 10, Rs 15, Rs 20 tickets were issued a pass. However, now passengers with a Rs 5 ticket will also get one route pass which will cost around Rs 220.

Pass distribution was pending due to the non-printing of passes by the PMC due to the lockdown. Now that the new passes are printed, passengers have started receiving them from September 16.
