Pune, November 22, 2020: The Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) has decided to increase 100 more buses from Monday, keeping the demand of passengers in mind.
After the lockdown, the PMPML bus service started on September 3. In the first phase, about 400 buses were plying on 190 different routes in the city. The number of buses has also increased due to the increase in the number of passengers over time and currently around a thousand buses are running in the city.
However, due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) imposed restrictions, buses can not be run with full capacity. Therefore, an additional 100 buses will be added on various routes in the city from Monday, informed PMPML Traffic Manager Dattatray Zende.
