Pune: PMPML To Run Buses On 190 Routes From September 3

Pune September 02, 2020: The Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) has decided to start running buses from September 3. As many as 421 buses will run on 190 routes.

As per information provided by PMPML Traffic Manager Anant Waghmare, “Due to the lockdown the buses stopped plying since March 23, 2020, in Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad. Now, the administration has decided to run 25% buses i.e 421 buses on 190 routes from September 3. Each bus will carry only 22 passengers and passengers will have to follow social distancing norms. All buses will be sanitized before leaving from depots. Major bus stands will also be sanitised.”

Every passenger has to wear a mask. Markings have been made at bus stops for passengers to stand at a distance from each other. The seats inside buses have also got marking where passengers have to sit. Passengers below 10 years and above 65 years will not be allowed to travel.
