Maharashtra COVID report: 17,433 new cases, 292 deaths today
Mumbai, Sep 02, 2020: A total of 13,959 patients were discharged and 17,433 new Covid-19 cases were reported in Maharashtra while 1627 new cases were reported in Pune city today. Today, 292 COVID-19 deaths reported in the state, Case fatality rate in the state is 3.05%. The current count of COVID19 patients in the state of Maharashtra is 8,25,739 informed State Health Minister Rajesh Tope.
According to the health department, 5,98,496 patients have been cured while the Case fatality rate in the state is 3.05%. As of today, there are 2,01,703 active cases in the state. The recovery rate in the state is 72.48% while the fatality rate in the state is 3.05%. Currently, 14,04,213 people are in home quarantine and 36,785 people are in institutional quarantine.
Out of 42,84,000 laboratory samples, 8,25,739 have been tested positive (19.27%) for COVID-19 until today.
According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 3,769,523 across the country. Out of this, 2,901,908 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 66,333 people have died and one patient has migrated out of the country. There are still 801,282 active patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country.
