Pune: PMPML’s “Apli PMPML” Mobile App Sees Strong User Adoption

Pune, 28th January 2025: The Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) has reported significant uptake of its “Apli PMPML” mobile application, with over 9.80 lakh downloads since its launch. The app, initially released for Android devices on 15th August 2024, expanded to iOS platforms on 26th January 2025, coinciding with India’s 76th Republic Day.
In a notable achievement, the app generated a record-breaking revenue of Rs 20.19 lakh on 27th January 2025, demonstrating its growing popularity among commuters. This success follows the recent introduction of the iOS version, which was implemented in response to frequent user requests and under the direction of PMPML’s Chairperson and Managing Director, Deepa Mudhol-Munde.
The “Apli PMPML” app offers a range of features designed to enhance the public transportation experience in Pune. Users can access real-time bus tracking, route information based on their current location, and online ticket booking through UPI. The app also allows passengers to purchase daily passes priced at Rs 40, Rs 50, and Rs 120, as well as metro tickets.
Additional functionalities include the ability to file complaints directly through the app, providing users with a convenient channel for feedback. PMPML officials are encouraging more passengers to utilize the “Apli PMPML” app to take advantage of these services.
