Pune: PMPML’s Metro Feeder Service Gets Good Response, Deccan To Warje Malwadi Route Records Highest Earning Per Kilometer

Pune 12th Oct 2023: The Metro Feeder service started by the Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) with an aim to provide better connectivity to passengers using Metro trains in Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad has received a good response. As a result, the PMPML has increased the frequency of several routes having a good demand from passengers.

According to the PMPML officials, the transport body has earned a revenue of Rs 23,82,008 in the Pune city in September month while a revenue of Rs 2,88,594 was recorded in Pimpri Chinchwad on Metro feeder buses. Metro Shuttle 2 route between Deccan and Warje Malwadi has recorded the highest Earning per Kilometer with Rs 59.90 per Kilometer while Metro Shuttle route 37 between Pimpri Metro Station and Kivle village has recorded the lowest Rs 5.16 per kilometer earning per kilometer last month.

The PMPML is currently running a total of 26 buses as Metro feeder service including 22 buses in Pune and 4 in Pimpri Chinchwad. Following a less response from passengers on Pimpri Metro Station to Kivle village route (Metro Shuttle 37 Route), the PMPML has decided the stop the services on this route and instead a new route between Pimpri Metro Station and Akurdi Railway Station was started from October 11. The transport body has also planned to start bus connectivity between Airport and Ramwadi Metro station once the metro services are further extended beyond Ruby Hall Clinic Metro Station.
