Pune: PMRDA Approves Key Infrastructure Projects in Pirangut Industrial Area
Pirangut, 9th July 2025: In a major push for infrastructure and regional connectivity, the Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) has sanctioned three significant road development projects in the Pirangut Industrial Area. The projects aim to enhance access between residential and industrial hubs, paving the way for smoother transportation and economic growth in the region.
According to PMRDA officials, land acquisition for all three roads has already commenced, marking a crucial step toward execution.
Approved Road Projects:
Urawade to Hinjawadi Phase 3 Road
Length: 7.10 km
Width: 45 meters
Estimated Cost: ₹14.50 crore
Nande to Lavale Road
Length: 3.93 km
Width: 45 meters
Estimated Cost: ₹8.00 crore
Nande to Man New Road
Length: 1.50 km
Width: 30 meters
Estimated Cost: ₹15.00 crore
Officials believe these new corridors will significantly ease congestion, improve freight movement, and connect key economic zones with residential neighborhoods across the Pirangut and Hinjawadi belt.
A PMRDA officer stated, “These projects are crucial to supporting the rapid urbanization and industrial expansion in the western corridor of Pune. Once completed, they will offer long-term benefits for businesses, daily commuters, and logistics services.”
The road expansions also align with PMRDA’s larger goal of integrated development and infrastructure-led planning across the Pune Metropolitan Region.
