Pune Police Arrest Accused Wanted For Duping WNS Of Rs 3.68 Crores

Pune, 28 August 2021: The Anti-Extortion Cell 1 of Pune City Police Crime Branch on Friday nabbed a man who was wanted for duping WNS company of Rs 3.68 crore. The incident had taken place between 2018 and 2020.

 

The arrested accused has been identified as Aditya Rajesh Londhe (28) of Shivajinagar. An FIR was registered against Londhe and his accomplices at the Cyber police station on June 26 this year. The accused has been booked for offences under sections 406, 408, 419, 420, 120B, 34 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and relevant sections of the Information Technology Act.

 

According to police, Londhe and his accomplices had misused their position to cheat the company with the help of login id and password given to them. Since the registration of the case in June, the accused were absconding.

 

Acting on a tip-off received by Police Naik Ramesh Chaudhar and Constable Amar Pawar, a trap was laid on Friday near JM Corner in Shivajinagar and Londhe was caught. He has been handed over to the cyber police station for further investigation.

 

The action was taken under the guidance of DCP (Crime) Shriniwas Ghadge, ACP Surendra Deshmukh and Senior Police Inspector Mahendra Jagtap.

 

The team included Assistant Police Inspector Sandip Buwa, ASI Pandurang Wanjale, Head Constables Madhukar Tupsaundar, Ravindra Fulpagare, Pravin Rajput, Atul Sathe, Sanjay Bhapkar, Police Naik Nitin Kamble, Ramesh Chaudhar, Amol Awad, Duryodhan Gurav, Gajanan Sonwalkar, Rajendra Landge, Vivek Jadhav, Nitin Rawal, Vijay Kamble, Constables Praful Chavan, Amar Pawar and Hanumant Kande.
