Pune Police Arrest Woman For Duping Elderly Man Of Rs 60 Lakh By Luring Him For Sex With Wealthy High Profile Ladies Through Friendship Clubs

Pune, 12th February 2022: The cyber police station of Pune city police yesterday arrested a 28-year-old woman for allegedly cheating a 76-year-old man of Rs 60 lakh through a friendship club by promising him sex with high profile women to earn him money.

The arrested person has been identified as Deepali Kailas Shinde, a resident of Katke Vasti, Wanwadi.

According to police, she had placed an advertisement for Meenakshi Friendship Club in the newspaper. The complainant contacted the accused on mobile. The accused reportedly said that this particular club is about having sex with rich, high-profile ladies. Accused further said that one would get a lot of money for this and earned the trust of the complainant.

The accused asked for the security fee from him for arranging a meeting with rich high profile ladies. At first, he was asked to pay Rs two lakh. Then from time to time, the accused asked the complainant to send money to the bank account stating various reasons. And he went on to pay Rs 60 lakh.

The incident took place between May 2021 and February this year. After realising the cheating, the man lodged a complaint with the cyber police station in Shivajinagar.

The investigation is being carried out under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner of Police (Cyber Crime) Bhagyashree Navtake, Assistant Commissioner of Police Vijay Kumar Palsule. The team includes Senior Police Inspector DS Hake, Inspector Sangita Mali, PSI Amol Waghmare and police personnel Rahul Handal, Ankita Ragho, Shumbhagi Malusare, and T Nilesh Landage.
