Pune Police Arrest Youth With Bluetooth Appearing For SRPF Recruitment Exam On Behalf Of His Brother

Hadapsar, 14th December 2021: A youth from Aurangabad has been arrested by Pune City Police for allegedly appearing for the State Reserve Police Force (SRPF) recruitment examination on behalf of his brother. Police have also seized two electronic devices including Bluetooth which he was using for cheating in the exam.
The arrested accused has been identified as Vishal Gabrusingh Bahure, a resident of Aurangabad. Based on a complaint from supervisor Anup Pawar (42), Hadapsar police station has registered an FIR against the accused for offences under sections 419, 420, 468, 471, 511, 188 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and relevant sections of the Maharashtra Prevention of Malpractices at University, Board and other specified Examinations Act.
According to police, the incident took place on Sunday (12th December) afternoon at the examination centre in SM Joshi College in Malwadi area of Hadapsar. During the examination, the supervisor heard somebody whispering and on close observation, he zeroed on the accused. During searches, two devices were found in his possession and he spilled the beans during questioning.
Police said that the accused was appearing for the exam on behalf of his brother Bharat Singh Bahure by forging documents. Bharat who was also present at the examination centre fled after realising that his brother has been caught.
Senior Police Inspector Arving Gokule, in-charge of the Hadapsar police station, said that a case was registered and the accused has been arrested. His brother will be caught soon.
