Pune Police Commissioner Amitabh Gupta Appeals Citizens To Donate Plasma
Pune, 1st May 2021: Responding positively to a woman’s Twitter post, Pune Police Commissioner Amitabh Gupta also appealed through Twitter, that residents of Pune should come forward and donate plasma.
A few days back, Richa Jain, a resident of Wagholi had asked Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray and Police Commissioner Gupta to address people and appeal to them to donate plasma to the COVID positive people. She asked this through Twitter.
Pune University Appeals Youths For Blood And Plasma Donation
The Commissioner of Police also retweeted Jain’s Twitter post and appealed that more citizens should come forward to donate plasma.
So far the Pune police have lost 17 police officers and staff in the fight against Corona. Currently, there is a shortage of plasma and blood.
Till now, 562 officers and the staff of the Pune Police Commissionerate have donated plasma, 127 people have donated blood, Gupta said, adding that citizens should come forward to donate blood and donate plasma to save lives.
