Pune: All India Station Masters Association Donates Medical Equipments Worth Rs 4 Lakhs To Divisional Railway Hospital
Pune, 1st May 2021: Considering the rapid spread of COVID-19 over Pune and its surroundings, a severe shortage of medical equipments were felt at all hospitals. Therefore, the All India Station Masters Association (AISMA), the only organization of Station Masters, decided to donate essential medical equipments to Divisional Railway Hospital, Pune, for the betterment of Railway employees from all categories.
Therefore, the Divisional body of AISMA, Pune, launched a fundraising campaign and was successful to collect more than Rs 5 Lakhs within a short span of less than a week. Due to an acute shortage of essential medical equipments, same had to be procured from Kerala, which consumed more than 10 days time.
These equipments consist of small Ventilators, Bed Monitors, which was handed over to Chief Medical Superintendent, Central Railway, Pune, on 30th April 2021.
The event was also attended by S K Mishra (GS/C-Rly), Gangadhar Sahoo, Divisional President, Krishna Murari, Divisional Secretary, Amit Kumar, Divisional Secretary Finance and Shakil Inamdar, Organizing Secretary, and Dinesh Kamble Central President Dhananjay Chandratre added that since the outbreak of COVID-19 epidemic, AISMA had been extending all possible help to Railway administration.
Station Masters of entire Indian Railways contributed their 3 days wages to PM’s Care Fund in the first lockdown. Further, masks, sanitizers, thermal thermometers and oxymeters were distributed to various stations of Indian Railways.
AISMA also extends financial assistance of Rs 50,000 to the family of Station Master, who passes away due to any reason.
AISMA has demanded Group Insurance of Rs 50 Lakhs to all front line staffs of Indian Railways in view of COVID-19 pandemic. Discussions in this regard are going on at a higher level.
