Pune Police Commissioner Felicitates Two Policemen Who Caught Youth Terrorising People With Chopper

Pune, 8th January 2023: Police Commissioner Retesh Kumaarr felicitated the two policemen who caught the duo that terrorized the vendors in the Khau Galli near Sinhgad Law College recently. The Police Commissioner has announced a reward of Rs 25,000 each to policemen – Akshay Ingwale and Dhananjay Patil.

 

Recently, there was panic in Khau Galli in the Sinhgad college area. Two youths armed with choppers ransacked the carts selling food. The drivers as well as citizens were harassed. The accused injured a youth with the chopper.

 

Police constables Akshay Ingwale and Dhananjay Patil of Sinhagad road police station were patrolling at that time. On getting the information about the incident, they immediately reached the spot (which comes under the jurisdiction of Bharati Vidyapeeth police station), chased the two youths, and caught one of them.

 

Citizens appreciated the action of the police after the video footage of the chase was circulated on social media.

 

Police Commissioner Retesh Kumaarr took note of the action taken by the police personnel. Ingwale and Patil were felicitated by the Commissioner of Police in a meeting held at the Police Commissionerate.

 

On this occasion, Joint Commissioner of Police Sandeep Karnik, Additional Commissioner Dr Jalindar Supekar, Rajendra Dahale, Ranjan Kumar Sharma, and others were present.
