Pune Police Commissioner Gupta Vows To Eliminate Crime

Pune, October 7, 2020: “It has been observed that the crime rate in the city has increased due to an increase in unemployment due to the lockdown. In reality, however, the exact extent of this cannot be stated. Also, many criminals have been released from jails on parole and furlough”, informed Pune Police Commissioner Amitabh Gupta.

He was addressing a press conference today about the detection of six murder cases. Joint CP Dr Ravindra Shiswe, Additional Commissioner of Police Sanjay Shinde, Namedav Chavan, Ashok Morale were also present.

“Care is being taken to ensure that crimes do not happen. The culprits have been arrested taking immediate action after the incident. We are trying to end crime in the city”, the city top cop said.

He has assured the people of Pune that a different picture of the city will emerge in the next three months. “The entire police force is working to end crime in the city. In the next three months, you will see a completely different picture of the city. A list of criminals is being prepared and they will be dealt with severely/”, he assured.

Out of the six murders, five murders have been detected within 24 hours. He lauded the police for immediately solving the murders in Faraskhana, Chandannagar, Bundgarden, Kondhwa and Bharati Vidyapeeth police stations.
