Pune Police Commissioner Venkatesham seeks citizens help to curb the crime rate
Pune, August 18, 2019 : Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industries (FICCI) Ladies Organization Pune Chapter concluded their informative and interactive session Face -to – Face with Commissioner of Police Dr K Venkatesham recently. Ritu Chhabria, Chairperson of FICCI FLO Pune chapter, Anita Sanas and others were present on this occasion.
Dr Venkatesham discussed topics such as women safety, crime, traffic congestion, cyber crimes amongst others. It was worthy to note various endeavors the police department have undertaken to counter such issues. The audience were impressed to hear that Police have formed various cells within the organisation easily accessible to the citizens. These cells are dedicated to various issues like Women crimes, Juvenile cases, youth cell to name a few.
The Commissioner was happy to share that recently Pune Police have won awards from FICCI for Best Functioning Police force and for being active in handling matters of women safety. Emphasizing more on active participation of citizens to curb the crimes rates he urged citizens to help Police force by their continued participation and being vigilant for the betterment of the city.
