Katraj, 6th July 2023: Pune Police have taken action against school students who have been found violating traffic regulations. The Bharti Vidyapeeth Traffic branch has initiated a campaign to address issues such as driving without a license, triple seating, riding without a helmet, and reckless driving among school students.

The operation was conducted in key areas such as Sarhad Chowk, Katraj Chowk, Trimurti Chowk, and Bharti Vidyapeeth Chowk, where rampant traffic rule violations have been observed among students. These violations not only pose a serious threat to public safety but also contribute to an alarming number of accidents and loss of lives.

Assistant Police Inspector Prashant Kanse emphasized the need for parents, teachers, and the students themselves to be cautious, particularly when minors are riding two-wheelers. He urged them to actively participate in promoting responsible road behavior among young riders.

Present at the operation were Police Sub-Inspector Sagar Pawar and members of the Traffic Branch, who lent their support to ensure the enforcement of traffic rules and regulations.

Efforts to curb traffic violations by school students are part of a wider initiative to foster a culture of safety and compliance on the roads. By taking decisive action against those who flout the law, the police aims to create an environment where road users, especially young ones, can navigate the streets with confidence and security.
