Pune Police Seizes Tiger skin worth Rs five lakhs

Pune, September 29, 2019: The sleuths from Crime Branch unit 1 of Pune city police have seized tiger skin worth Rs five lakhs.

Acting on a tip-off received by Police Naik Sachin Jadhav, a team led by Police Sub Inspectors Yash Borate and Lahu Satpute laid a trap under the jurisdiction of Samarth police station and nabbed two persons. During a search, tiger skin worth Rs five lakhs were recovered from their possession.

The arrested persons have been identified as Rameshwar Harishchandra Deshmukh (35) and Vijay Ganpat Jagtap (38), both residents of Aurangabad.

DCP (crime) Bachchan Singh and Senior police inspector Arun Waikar supervised the team which nabbed the two accused persons. An FIR has been registered against them with Samarth police station.
