Recently, Quick Ride also successfully registered 2.5 million users on its platform across Bengaluru, Mumbai, Delhi-NCR, Pune, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kochi, and Kolkata. The Bengaluru based start-up entered the market in 2015 and has emerged as the largest carpooling network in the country.

Quick Ride organized the first ever Bikepool and Carpool Rewards where the esteemed users were rewarded for their contribution towards saving the environment from vehicular pollution and reducing traffic congestion in Pune. Along with recognizing the top bike and carpoolers, Quick Ride distributed around 200 helmets among the riders to promote safety while riding. The event was addressed by Shri Surendranath Deshmukh, IPS and Mr. Amit Kourav, Regional Head, Quick Ride, who felicitated the riders and awarded them the helmets.

Bike and carpooling are a growing trend in the city, as most working professionals find it the cheapest and fastest way to commute within the city. Also, with Pune emerging as a buzzing corporate hub, the idea is to de-congest roads by encouraging people to carpool and bike pool to work every day.

The event had been organized to honour loyal Quick Ride users and the supportive tech parks and corporates which are helping Quick Ride transition towards a better and sustainable future.

Currently, Pune is grappling with limited space and private vehicles are adding to the vehicular congestion. Quick ride is aiming to build a community of conscientious citizens who are willing to contribute toward decongestion and reducing air pollution.
