Pune Police DCP’s Quick Response Saves Life of Accident Victim in Wanowrie

Wanowrie, 24th December 2024: The prompt action of Dr. Sandeep Bhajibhakre, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Headquarters) with Pune Police, saved the life of a young accident victim in the Wanowrie area. His timely response not only ensured that the young man received first aid but also demonstrated the commitment of Pune City Police to public service, earning praise from citizens.

According to the Pune City Police, the incident occurred today at 2 PM at Jagtap Dairy Chowk in Wanowrie. A young man riding a bike collided with an elderly woman, causing both to fall. While the woman sustained minor injuries, the young man fell off his bike in shock. Dr. Bhajibhakre, who happened to be passing by, immediately stepped in to assist.

He provided first aid to the young man and noticed that the elderly woman was bleeding. Acting swiftly, he used his handkerchief to stop the bleeding, ensuring she was stable until further medical assistance could be arranged.

Dr. Bhajibhakre’s actions earned admiration from onlookers, who praised his quick thinking and dedication. Speaking about the incident, Dr. Bhajibhakre said, “Helping accident victims is an essential part of our duty as police officers. I urge citizens to step forward and assist accident victims because timely help can save lives.”
